Upcoming Events

Check out some great upcoming events to kick-off 2018 with! Most of these are with partner organizations and other women agriculture groups.

January 9th: The first planned Women, Land & Legacy event for 2018 will be an all-day workshop on January 9th in Emmetsburg entitled “Evaluating Your Estate Plan”, co-hosted by the Emmet/Palo Alto WLL team and ISU Extension & Outreach. More details on the event flyer.

January 19th and 20th: Practical Farmers of Iowa (PFI) will host their annual farming conference in Ames. This is a great opportunity to meet and learn from other farmers and see what research PFI is doing that could benefit your farming operation. More at the conference website.

January 26th and 27th: Women in Denim is an annual conference with a variety of workshop topics for women landowners and farmers. More details at the conference website.

February 3rd: An upcoming Annie’s Project course, Women Planning Ag Businesses, is for women interested in exploring, starting or expanding a farm or agriculture-related business. Women Planning Ag Businesses will provide a step-by- step process for developing business plans for local foods, agritourism, family farm expansion or redirection, and more. This course includes four classroom sessions plus one tour. More details at the event website.
