October 29th the Iowa County WLL team hosted their 4th and final event for 2017 – an appreciation for the “Women of Harvest”. Over 40 people gathered at Fireside Winery in  Marengo to enjoy an afternoon of networking and fellowship. The women drank wine, enjoyed appetizers, live music and participated in wine glass painting led by instructor, Kimberly Fuller with Twisted Hurricane Studio.

The goal was to create a networking opportunity for women, while highlighting their important role on the farm. Many of the women who participated spend countless hours in wagons, combines, trucks, making and delivering meals and running errands during harvest. The Iowa Co. Women, Land & Legacy team wanted to recognize the hard work that agricultural women do in the community.
