Des Moines/Louisa WLL – High Tunnel Field Tourdes moines county

SW WLL  – Food, Fun & Fruit Treesfremont county

Mahaska/Marion WLL – Why I Farmmarion county.png

Mahaska/Marion Women, Land & Legacy will hold an event, “Why I Farm,” at Central College in Pella. 6:30-8:00, doors open at 6:00 p.m. Listen to Natalina Sents talk about her road trip across the U.S. documenting farm stories and traditions. Tama WLL – Adolphs Produce Tourtama county

Join Tama WLL for a summer garden tour at Adolphs Produce, 2919 140th St. in Traer. Dessert and registration will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the event starting at 7:00 p.m. Ken and Carolyn Adolph have a diversified farming operation of fruit, vegetables, flowers and more and have been farming for 38 years. Iowa WLL – Iowa Women Landowner’s Conferenceiowa county
June 21st, Brooklyn
Join Iowa County Women, Land & Legacy for their 6th annual IA Women’s Landowners Conference. ISU president Wendy Wintersteen will be the keynote speaker. Topics covered will include the 2018 tax law changes, estate planning, and more. 7:30 – 3:30 at Michael J. Manatt Community Center in Brookly. Dubuque WLL – Perfect Storm Brewing in Farm Transitioningdubuque county
June 26th, Farley
Dubuque Women, Land & Legacy will feature Steven Bohr presenting “Perfect Storm Brewing in Farm Transitioning” from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at the Farley Memorial Hall in Farley. Steve has 25 years in the financial services field and founded Farm Financial Strategies, a program to offer strategies to preserve the family farm. Calhoun WLL – Operating After Loss and Cash Rent calhoun county
July 19th, Lake City
Calhoun Women Land and Legacy will hold an event on July 19th at 5:45 pm in Lake City, at the Lake City Library. Michele Maguire Beck will be speaking about how her life has changed after losing her husband at a young age. She has continued to manage their large cattle herd in southern Iowa even though she was born and raised a town girl. United Bank of Iowa will also be presenting on “Cash Rent: What Side of the Fence are You on?” They will speak on how different perspectives of cash rent can effect what the actual price is that works for you. Clayton WLL – Winery Tour and Wine Tastingclayton county.png

Clayton Women, Land & Legacy will have a tour, tasting and gathering at Promiseland Winery near Guttenberg. Two tours: 5:30 and 6:00 p.m., doors open at 5:00 p.m. More details to come!

Buchanan WLL – Listening Sessionsbuchanan county
August 28th, Independence
Join the Buchanan Women, Land & Legacy team as they kick-off with their first event, two Listening Sessions. These sessions are an opportunity for women landowners, producers and others who care about the land to share their connections, interests and needs. Educational events will follow in the coming years based on the information shared by the participants at the Listening Sessions. This is a unique opportunity for you to connect and engage with other women in agriculture in Buchanan County and have a say in what programs are provided in the future.
